Coach’s Corner- May Friends of Tufts Baseball, Greetings to you all at a very hectic time of the season. We are approaching the close of our regular season, gearing up for the NESCAC tournament (which we are hosting 5/7-5/9) and preparing for several alumni events (5/10 World Series Team at Fenway, 5/14 Golf Outing, 5/15 Alumni Game). This is a demanding but special time of the year. Our players have performed admirably as we are in the midst of 8 games in 7 days as well as the last week of classes and all sorts of assignments due. I can tell you the guys show up and play hard every day. The 2010 team is an interesting one, it is a true team, we are all reliant on each other to perform everyday to have a chance to succeed. We are not riding any one person’s coat tails on this team. I want to commend our captains Alex Perry, Corey Pontes and Dave Leresche for providing exemplary leadership to this team. Adrian plans to be with us at the golf outing. The guys visited with him last week and spent most of the visit in wrestling matches. Needless to say Adrian emerged triumphant. We truly look forward to seeing a great many of you in the coming weeks. Lets work to get that Diamond Club membership to last year’s numbers, we need 8 more Jumbos to step up to the plate.
