The Tufts Jumbos took over Fenway Park last Friday in style. The 1st Pitch Reception was a great success as over 150 guests enjoyed the evening in the EMC Club. Tony Massarotti A'89 was stellar as M.C. keeping the crowd laughing while he moved the program along. New Tufts Athletic Director John Morris' speech was a big hit as everyone enjoyed his vision for the future of Tufts Athletics. Captain Cody McCallum '16 and Matt Moser '16 gave a nice preview of what to expect from the team this season -- let's hope their predictions are accurate!
We had some great silent auction prizes and a special thanks to Derek Rice A'07 who was the winner of several prizes. There was actually a sighting of Derek wearing his authentic, Julian Edelman signed jersey later that evening!
A special thank you to our hosts Jay Calnan E'87, Michael Cantalupa E'83, Dana Nielsen A'96, and Sean Barror A'88. Their great support made the event possible. There was a lot of reminiscing and networking -- all in all it was a great evening to be with great friends. Everyone was already looking forward to next year's event by evening's end. Be sure to follow the Jumbos this season as they open up on Friday 3/18 vs Castleton St. in Virginia.
