With their backs against the walls in the NESCAC Tournament the Jumbos handed the ball Freshman Elias Varinos. In his first collegiate start Elias went 8.1 innings allowing just 1 earned run to help lead the Jumbos to victory and force a second Championship game against Middlebury. He was rewarded for his efforts with a NESCAC Pitcher of the Week award.
