Closer to the Cure 1st Annual Bowl-a-thon

On Sunday November 4th a few current and former Jumbos were lucky enough to participate in the Closer to the Cure 1st Annual Bowl-a-thon. This event was hosted by The Martin Family; Ripley, Jennifer, Gracie, and Cooper in order to raise money for pediatric brain cancer research. The Martin's set a goal of raising 25,000 dollars and absolutely knocked it out the park, raising nearly double that amount!! The fund raising success will now allow Closer to the Cure to co-fund multiple pediatric brain tumor research grants! For more information on Closer to the Cure and what they are doing please visit there website (www.closertothecure.org). 2 Time New England Pitcher of the Year Speros Varinos struggled to throw strikes in the alley finishing as the low man with a score of 82. Despite being the only two bowling without bumpers Casey Santos-Ocampo and Coach Brendan finished inside the top 5. The top Bowler of the Jumbo crew was Jamie Weiss with a score of 148 followed by Seniors RJ Hall and Harrison Frickman! We would like to take the time to thank all of our Alumni and Parents for assisting and donating to such a great cause!
